Update on NHSCSP - Triage and primary screening
The NHSCSP is a well established successful screening programme. It has implemented changes to the screening test used to help better identify women with low grade cytological abnormalities who need further evaluation. In particular the screening test which was documented by George Papanicolau over sixty years ago is likely to be replaced as the primary screening tool for cervical screening programmes in the near future.
