Location: Online - 6th to 7th October 2026

This is a virtual exam. We would encourage all trainees to submit their training documents at the earliest opportunity. Trainees will be emailed in October with the confirmed OSCE dates.

Online Colposcopy OSCE

The BSCCP OSCE Examination is the final stage of the BSCCP Colposcopy Training Programme and is designed to assess the knowledge, communication skills, clinical reasoning, and professional judgement required for independent colposcopy practice.

The examination is conducted online using the OSLER virtual OSCE platform.

About the OSCE Examination

The OSCE assesses candidates across a range of clinical and communication scenarios relevant to colposcopy practice.

  • Candidates are expected to demonstrate:
  • Safe and effective clinical decision-making
  • Strong communication and counselling skills
  • Appropriate management planning
  • Professionalism under examination conditions
  • Application of colposcopy knowledge to clinical scenarios

The examination includes interactive clinical stations and structured assessments designed to evaluate both theoretical understanding and practical application.

Eligibility to Sit the OSCE

Candidates may only apply for the BSCCP OSCE Examination once all required elements of the BSCCP Colposcopy Training Programme have been completed and approved within the Learning Zone.

This includes:

  1. Completion of the required training pathway
  2. Registration and completion of the BSCCP Electronic Logbook
  3. Submission of all required assessments and supporting documentation
  4. Approval of training evidence and Trainer Declaration (AC3)
  5. Accessing the OSCE Booking

Access to the OSCE booking process is managed entirely through the Learning Zone.

Once all required stages of the training programme have been successfully completed and approved, candidate progress within the Learning Zone will reach 88%.

At this stage, the The BSCCP Colposcopy Training Programme OSCE Examination section will become available on the trainee dashboard. Candidates will then be able to access the private Eventbrite booking page in order to reserve their OSCE examination place.

Important Information

  • OSCE examination places are allocated on a first come, first served basis
  • Access to the Eventbrite booking page does not guarantee an examination place
  • Candidates who are unable to secure an OSCE place during the current sitting will need to wait for the next available examination date
  • Candidates are encouraged to complete all Learning Zone requirements as early as possible to avoid disappointment
  • Examination fees are non-refundable and non-transferable within 7 weeks of the examination date
  • Candidates should ensure all documentation has been fully approved before attempting to access the OSCE booking process
