The invasive cancer review: psychological issues surrounding disclosure

An audit of invasive cancer of the cervix is an integral part of the NHSCSP. While many cases are associated with non compliance by women a significant number have been associated with preceding cytology which did not detect the cancer precursers. Disclosure of information relating to this can be upsetting for women. This paper seeks to explore these issues.
